This initiative s part of a broader research agenda towards spearheading the creation of the Center

Queens College and the Borough of Queens are in the epicenter of immigration to the United States. More than half the students from the borough of Queens were born abroad, reflecting the diversity of a vital and growing region where residents come from countries that span six continents.
We are committed to providing a research and teaching umbrella for the existing Centers, programs and initiatives working on a variety of immigrant-related topics. We ultimately seek to offer a unifying voice of the work that Queens College is doing in understanding the contributions, as well as the ongoing challenges, experienced by new waves of immigrants that are reshaping our borough, city and region.
We invite you to follow us and read more about our goals:

3. Reaching out to public officials, immigrant coalitions, non-profit and private industry representatives and other interested parties through conferences, community activities and the planning of sustainable programs and initiatives.
