Welcome to our website!
The Immigration Studies Working Group at Queens College was created in the Spring 2012 to galvanize the rich, and diverse interests on immigration research of both faculty and students at Queens College. We invite you to follow us and read more about our initial goals: 1. Engaging Queens College faculty and students in developing cross-disciplinary research on relevant contemporary immigration topics. 2. Developing teaching curricula and training programs aimed at educating the public on the diverse needs of immigrant groups in our communities. 3. Reaching out to public officials, immigrant coalitions, non-profit and private industry representatives and other interested parties through conferences, community activities and the planning of sustainable programs and initiatives.
